This incredibly gorgeous and highly coveted Alexander McQueen pink silk bustier dress, dating back to his 2004 spring/summer collection, exemplifies the poetic drama that defined the late designer’s genius. Lee Alexander McQueen, one of the most influential fashion visionaries of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, was celebrated for his technical mastery and theatrical storytelling. Trained on Savile Row and later helming his own namesake house, McQueen brought a dark romanticism and impeccable craftsmanship to every collection—making his work highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs alike. This dress hails from his 'Deliverance' collection, which first debuted in Los Angeles at the Château Marmont on January 21, 2004. Inspired by Sydney Pollack’s film 'They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?', the show drew parallels between Depression-era dance marathons and the relentless pace of the fashion world—a haunting metaphor rendered through movement, exhaustion, and beauty.

As the commercial version of runway Look 18, this beauty showcases McQueen’s unique craftsmanship. Constructed from lustrous pink silk satin, the dress drapes fluidly over the body, clinging in all the right places while maintaining that signature McQueen movement. The built-in bustier, detailed with ruched tulle overlay and trimmed in soft frills, shapes the décolletage with sensual precision. The cowl-like bodice scoops gently and frames bust, creating a languid contrast to the structured, boned corsetry that continues around the back. The open draped design reveals the corset’s boning is so sexy. I especially love the scalloped seaming, giving the silk a petal-like fluidity which flows into undulating curves. This echoes the movement of a dancer’s hem—an intentional homage to the collection’s dance marathon inspiration. The fit is pure 1930s-inspired glamour reinterpreted through McQueen’s modern len. Its impeccable construction and cinematic provenance make it a museum-worthy investment. Perfect for a red-carpet gala, formal soirée, or any occasion where one wishes to channel vintage Hollywood allure through McQueen’s deeply human artistry.

Missing band adjustment tool
Color: Gold-blue Watch-G9990
It's a beautiful watch just complicated to try to figure out how to shorten the band. They forgot to send a little tool to do it with so now I'm going to have to call Amazon for it

Another OLEVS Watch Has Entered the Collection
Color: Silver-Gold Watch-G5593
At this point I should probably just accept that my husband has turned collecting OLEVS watches into a full blown hobby. This newest one immediately became one of his favorites the second he opened the box. He actually held it up to the light like he was inspecting a rare artifact in a museum. The silver and gold combination looks incredibly sharp in person. It has that classic luxury style that works beautifully with dress clothes, but honestly it also looked nice with jeans and a polo shirt. The large Roman numerals give it a timeless look that feels elegant without looking old fashioned. One thing my husband really liked was the size of the face. At 41mm, it stands out nicely without looking oversized or cartoonishly huge. The numbers are easy to read, which is becoming more important around this stage of life whether he admits it or not. The luminous scales are also handy because apparently checking the time in a dark room is now a mandatory husband activity. The watch feels solid and well made too. It has a nice weight to it that makes it feel more expensive than it is, and the band feels sturdy without being uncomfortable. He wore it all day right out of the box and had zero complaints, which honestly deserves its own award. The day and date display is another feature he enjoys because he somehow asks me what day it is at least three times a week despite owning multiple watches that literally tell him the answer. We have had really good luck with OLEVS watches overall. They hold up nicely, look polished, and always get compliments. This one especially has that clean classic businessman style that catches attention without screaming for it. If you are looking for a handsome watch that looks high end without the painful luxury price tag, this is a great choice. Apparently good enough to convince my husband he absolutely needed yet another watch in the collection.
