Inspired by Nerikiri, a traditional Japanese sweet made from white bean paste (Shiro-an) and soft mochi (Gyuhi), the pen captures the delicate colors and artistry of these seasonal confections, which are carefully selected to complement the flavor and experience of Koicha, thick matcha served during tea ceremonies. Additional ceremonial elements, such as Kuromoji (a wooden food pick used to cut sweets) and Kaishi (traditional washi paper used as a napkin or plate for sweets), inform the pen’s refined design.
